Help rebuild Oconee Street United Methodist Church

On April 15, 2013 around 9 p.m., a fire destroyed an Athens, Ga. landmark — Oconee Street United Methodist Church.

The church, home to the Our Daily Bread ministry that feeds hundreds of homeless people daily, is in severe disrepair and will need a lot of spiritual, physical and financial support to rebuild.

Tax-deductable financial donations may be made at any Athens First Bank and Trust location to “Oconee Street United Methodist Church Building Fund.”

Donations may also be mailed to P.O. Box 6707, Athens, GA 30604.

Online donations will be accepted soon on this site.

  1. Our prayers are with our friends at Oconee Street at this difficult time. We fondly remember our days attending while Carolyn Morris was pastor and we were students.
