Oconee Street UMC music director Dr. Maxine Easom appeared on “Live with Gwen” with host Gwen O’Looney  on WXAG-AM (Athens) radio on Thursday, April 25. Easom spoke about the history of the church, the importance of the church to the community and how to help with the rebuilding process. She was later joined by Erin Barger, director of the Athens chapter of Action Ministries and the Our Daily Bread ministry housed at Oconee Street before the fire.
