VBS: Oconee Street children take part in “Everywhere Fun Fair”

Children of Oconee Street UMC are traveling around the world this week, taking part in “Everywhere Fun Fair,” the theme of the church’s annual Vacation Bible School.

Roughly 30 children ages 3-10 are participating in VBS, with two-dozen adults volunteering to make this year’s VBS happen under the leadership of VBS director Meg Hines.

In “Everywhere Fun Fair,” children discover that God’s love can be found everywhere. Each day the Sunday School rooms at Tuckston UMC (where Oconee Street UMC is temporarily meeting) are transformed to a different country: Mexico, United Kingdom, Zimbabwe, Japan and Australia. Children learn elements of the country’s language, culture and values.

VBS is being held July 8-12 every morning from 9-12:30 at Tuckston UMC.
