Established four years ago, University of Faith classes are weekly discussions about a specific topic, book of the Bible or other subject for Christian discussion. The return to Oconee Street

Oconee Street UMC returned ‘home’ on Sunday, April 13, holding its first worship at its Oconee Street location since a fire destroyed the church’s sanctuary nearly one year earlier. The congregation is temporarily meeting in its recently renovated education building while the sanctuary is being built.

Rebuilding the parsonage

The newly-formed Oconee Street UMC men’s group worked Saturday, Feb. 8 to restore the Oconee Street parsonage.

The first step in an ongoing project was to clean the home, which was built in 1960 as a parsonage and was most recently used as a headquarters for Action Ministries, who moved last October to First Baptist Church in downtown.
