The Oconee Street UMC Chancel Choir performed “The Work of Christmas” to more than 150 audience members on Dec. 6, 2016 in the sanctuary. The choir performance, directed by Amanda Martin, featured 11 instrumentalists, six actors and a narrator. Click here to see photos from the event.

Community Cookout

Oconee Street UMC hosted a “Community Cookout” on Aug. 22 to celebrate the reopening of its sanctuary after more than two years of construction. Nearly 100 people joined in the celebration, which featured grilled food, live music and games.

The return to Oconee Street

Oconee Street UMC returned ‘home’ on Sunday, April 13, holding its first worship at its Oconee Street location since a fire destroyed the church’s sanctuary nearly one year earlier. The congregation is temporarily meeting in its recently renovated education building while the sanctuary is being built.
