Interfaith Hospitality Network of Athens (IHNA) volunteers provide oversight with 2-3 families. Shifts include evenings 5-8 pm, overnight 8 pm-8am, or weekend days. Buddies help families in crisis due to detention or deportation to navigate social services, legal assistance, finances, food and rent, etc. You will receive training on how to gain trust, provide support by connecting with various organizations, and address any legal issues that you and/or your buddy might encounter. Food2Kids: Bring child-friendly and child-specific foods that are easy to open, nutritious, and do not require any cooking for weekend distribution to kids in schools. Basket outside the sanctuary. Requested for January 2019: peanut butter or poptop ravioli.
Little Free Pantry: Needs non-perishable food items to be stocked outside 717 Oconee Street.

U-Lead needs tutors in math, science, English, social studies for students studying for high school and college classes, and studying for the ACT/SAT exams.
